MARC HAUSER is celebrated internationally for his dramatic portrait illustrations and varied list of clients that include Rolling Stone magazine, Pepsi Co., Ameritech, Arista Records, and Microsoft.
Since his first commercial job for an international magazine at the age of seventeen, Hauser continues to explore and establish new boundaries in photography. His most celebrated digitally imaged photograph of Dennis Rodman, used for a Bigsby & Kruthers ad campaign, stopped traffic on Chicago’s Kennedy Expressway. Hauser has received over one hundred awards for his work, including Omni Awards, Awards of Excellence from CA Magazine, Clios and a Grammy for a John Cougar Mellencamp album cover. Hauser has published 7 books, including the Little Big Book, which won him a PDN-Nikon self promotion award. Soul bearing images of well known figures such as Aaron Copland, Mariel Hemingway, Sophia Loren, Julia Roberts, and John Waters are representative of Hauser’s sharp eye and his love of the portrait. Central to his style is full frame photography, for it is essential to Hauser that his images be seen just as he intends us to see them.
